This is the story of the DartCharger:

The DartCharger was introduced in late August or early September 1964. (My register have the first one in Sept 9, -64)

All the cars was yellow paintcode 88 or 99 depending on date and the interior was two diffenrent ones; black or white with gold carpet and gold paint on the upper doors incl gold dash.

The cars was sold on the basic Dart GT. All cars had the 273 Charger with automatic or 4 speed transmission, with or without A/C. All cars came with outside adjustable mirror, N/D mirror, radio w/antenna, bumper guards, HP suspension, PB and PS. I understand that about 180 cars were made. (Talked with 5 different dealers that actually sold them back in 1965). They were about 300 kits produced for whatever cars the dealer had in stock. So I have found two red ones, one black and one blue.

All the DartChargers came from the factory with Cragar S/S 13x5,5 with Goodyear blackwalls 7.00x13. They had the special badge on each fender and on the right side of the glove compartment.

You could order your DartCharger in two models; hardtop or convertible. about 30% were convertibles and the rest hardtops.
